There's clubs to be found from Orkney to Galloway, with population centers in Dundee, Aberdeen, and Inverness that never see pro teams and are all 2-3hrs away. There was a lot of criticism no semi-pro teams were setup up north and one of the big reasons the super6 was yanked

So Scottish rugby does very bad at getting it's pro teams about the place. But that's because they're home stadia are so well attended now. And even tier 3 can sell a shit ton of tickets for Murrayfield (see Portugal next month). But for the growth of the game it is fucking awful. So NZ have it correct, and I would love to see Edinburgh out in Hawick, and Glasgow in Stirling, especially for a Munster or Edinburgh match

That sounds reasonable then. But will changing the NPC to support a 6th/7th SR sife make financial sense? In order to do so I think it's cost cap time so ARU can try to meet too

Population isn't what decides, but attendance is. A new club will struggle hard, a more sensible idea is to demote the lowest attended to NPC

That's on the press, not RB imo. And with a global calender, what is a proper goodbye? You drive in F1 you accept the circus. They are all well paid these days

I use Arch btw

He's right. See if he gets another seat next season

Didn't know about this tour. Irish depth is pretty legendary in the URC, so the resilt is not a surprise to me!

F-Droid is the single biggest reason that Android is actually usable. And the only real reason Google aren't getting sued for monopoly practices. If only ReplicantOS was more viable

33 pts isn't that clunky though. There was some great handling and broken play they excelled in. Hard to fault the team imo, first phase maybe a touch uncreative, certainly Austrailia playing with more flair. But they lost

Well done the ABs, Australia looking better this week at least. That defence from the NZ pack was outstanding all game

Both looking accident prone after the break. Could be a low scoring affair from now. Meaning anyone's game!

Good first half from the green and gold, let's hope they can back it up

This is it final round. Early doors: NZ vs Aus. Followed by Arg vs SA. It's technically all on the line, but los Pumas still need a miracle. I'm hoping to catch at least a bit of both, this year's TRC has been the best in donkeys years!

Top Squidge about a top game, enjoy, and final games this weekend will be tasty

Cardiff, Munster, Leinster topping the table, with SA teams yet to play. Scottish and Italians teams all losing, but signs of hope for both Edinburgh and Benetton picking up both a try and losing bonus point. Considering Edinburgh last years' abysmal bonus points (and playing Leinster) I'm taking away a good showing. And Glasgow losing by point away to Ulster is far from a write off too, for either side!

A feast of rugby now from here on. I'm ready

Yes! In places. Aberdeen is nearly grey free! The strategy seems to be push that line southwards. Tayside and Dundee has to be next, but the map on the page clearly indicates a chance of defending in the borders too. Great Sunday read for us all

Hullo boys and girls, how are we this week?

NH Pro season has already kicked off in France, but for the rest of Europe: it's this Friday. I've got tickets for Edinburgh v Leinster and cannot wait! Champions cup joins the URC on Premier Sports; hooray for me, as I was never going to pay for TNT and Premier Sports

Fantastic news, 2014 was genuinely great to be in Glasgow. And Glasgow has many venues ready to roll, so the reduction to 10 different disciplines makes lots of sense. I attended a fair bit of the rugby sevens, so hoping to see that again, but swimming, cycling, and athletics are all no brainers for Glasgow to host, as would badminton, indoor bowls, and curling potentially. Exciting times!

The only people that actually want this are the Welsh. The URC is working well, the prem needs to reign in the spending, and the Champions Cup needs to change to a format people understand. I'd go full knock out like a football cup personally. Sorted, no B&I league needed. But I do suspect NZ and Aus would like to see SA back in Super Rugby

Back Doune the Rabbit hole, the first iteration was very highly rated, but I do suspect Scotland has enough wee festivals, and with prices only ever increasing for attendees - will this one be able to break even? Find out next year!

Anyone make it to a festival this year in Scotland?

A literal monorail. I bet the council approves it and then Holyrood has to step in. Surely national parks need differing planning standards, this is madness!

What a fuck up. The man in charge at the time, has now been rewarded with a Labour seat in Edinburgh. Labour: rewarding failure since time immemorial
