Saftey laws are about to require automatic emergency braking for vehicles and pedestrians as well, which will require additional sensors and compute on even the lowest tech cars.

The days of tech less cars is long gone.

Yes, gluing things is common in the auto industry.

Your windshield is glued.

This sucks, but it sounds like they might have fucked up for real?

Meanwhile, there's another article about how a group is trying to prevent a ballot measure from appearing during Alaska's election to remove ranked choice voting. In this case, it was approved to be added even though they fucked up the paperwork, and now it's going to their supreme court to prevent it.

Bets on what happens there?

Do they understand they aren’t forced to rank them?

For anyone curious, assuming this image is legit from my google search...

It appears that reading as far as the 2nd instruction is too complicated for the people that are upset. I definitely feel PUSHED. It feels pretty WOKE if you ask me as well. Choice? Who wants choice?

Other auto makers are experiencing problems.

Ford for example just canceled their next EV, delayed their next trucks to 2027, and are going to make hybrid plug ins instead at their new EV factory. They're even taking a billion+ hit due to it.

GM announced they're going to focus more on hybrid plug ins as well.

VW delayed Trinity to the 2030s

So while Elon is definitely a cause, it's impossible to say this is all him.

Edit: further, the article says overall EV sales in the EU are down 6% YoY. So definitely good job on BMW here.

They might be stuck with Twitter, but then they could hire someone who doesn't run off the advertisers and maybe turn it around for a smaller loss.

...

I understand how to read.

Ignore the 94% it's the part below it.

It's supposed to stop charging my battery at 80%. It (edit: almost) always charges my battery to 100% despite the setting.

Wow that is a wild fucking weapon.

But craziness aside, is that the best use of a HIMARS? It doesn't look like it took much out other than the bridge, and I have to imagine they have other ordinance that can take out a temporary pontoon bridge?

Edit: If thats all they had within range then sure, that's all they had. I think I'm just surprised they didn't use something else if they had it?

I'm specifically talking about macbooks.

My laptop is of course at 100% despite what this says, plugged into my wall outlet, like usual.

What good is the union if they can't even get you more than minimum wage? Wow.

Fuck apple and it's "AI powered" battery charge protector for my laptop that says it'll stop it at 80% (or 85%?) based on your usage habits, but always charges it to full because fuck your battery. I'd bet money they don't give you the option to permanently set it and not be AI driven because they know the battery dies sooner because their AI battery manager sucks.

I may be triggered.

Easy.
