In some sense Waterworld qualifies.

Also Cloud Atlas in some of the settings, though a bit more primitivist

A system called Coscientist scours the Internet for instructions, then designs and executes experiments to synthesize molecules.

I think the Israeli government is authoritarian, and their scorched earth tactics against Palestinians are war crimes, but you're not doing the cause any favors by invoking the Nazis. Criticize their actual behavior.

@ooli@lemmy.world tl/Dr "Photoncycle Brandtzaeg holds up a chalk-looking substance: “With this, you can store electricity 20 times as densely as in a lithium battery.”

“We're locking up the hydrogen molecules in a solid to basically fix them. We're using a reversible, high-temperature fuel cell, so we're assisting a fuel cell which both can produce hydrogen and electricity in the same cell,” he says.

That means no need to cool the hydrogen down, making it non-flammable and giving it a higher density than an ion-lithium battery"

I have found the European Graduate School to be the best source of free video lectures on Philosophy I have found. They of course slant towards Continental philosophy. You get in person lectures and sometimes lecture series from the contemporary greats from Slavoj Žižek, Derrida, Baudrillard, Butler, and many others. https://youtube.com/@egsvideo?si=qqeB6s3msY6ivXsi

@Synthead@lemmy.world Chrome?

Hey all, I'm fairly new to the Fediverse.

I'm just wondering what is preventing mallard from being shared on Lemmy, K.Bin, etc. via images or other embeds? Is there some file vetting happening under the hood?

A platform to stream torrents rather than download them would be nice.

Also iis it possible to use PopcornTime with more than just the PopcornTime.xyz list?

I watched a few episodes of this and enjoyed some of the gimics. It left me wondering what from the show was "realistic" vs pure gimic. Also I wonder what University has the most established Biohacking community.

Stem cells from one eye show promise in healing injuries in the other. Could this possibly be a step towards reversing age related degeneration of the eyes?
