Meanwhile men don't have access to support groups, are not supported by anyone when they admit it, get straight up ridiculed for this ever happenning by both everyday people and justice system...

It happens to both genders. But we managed to build fundamental lattice of support for one of them (fundamental as in there's still so much to do), while failing to even recognize the other one faces this problem too. We do not have to compromise on helping one side to help the other - that's straight up not an option. But we should help, and recognize the need of help, for both.

...dunno where you live, but if I started going with the tongue with my girl I would 100% get absolutely kicked out of any food place. It's not a place for that high public display of affection.

Not saying tho they did that. Just pointing out you're flat out wrong.

About lemmy.world - when running from reddit, it was literally first on the list of advised ones everywhere. Also, biggest, so it had most communities. I am actually pretty much only aware of .world, .dbzer0 and sh.itjust.works. From the normal ones anyway.

lemmy.ml is basically an instance made by creators of lemmy from what I know.

Lazy.

Just plain lazy.

I already have my phone in hand in shops - shopping lists, reminders or even plain taking my mind off the shelves so I won't buy unnecessary shit. Then I get to checkout and...my phone is already in hand. Just boop it and done. No need to dig out wallet from pocket and then dig out card from wallet.

...imagine fuxking NASA pulling this off. After so many fuckups in USA that didn't end with nationalising, a goddamn NASA going "welp, that's it" and managing to push for nationalising Boeing...

The gas is meant to hug the floor tightly, engine is meant to roar, adrenaline to be pumped, and zoomies to be upheld.

...in a race. However, zoomies apply everywhere.

Similiar, however I absolutely love walking fast. Hell, I am always trying to top my speed.

Except at work. Cuz then things get done too fast and I land at 10 on the scale. :(

Or ya know. Actually be stupid. Just lower the portions. If it doesn't work, lower again. Do not starve yourself, but eat maybe half of what you eat normally if you are severly overweight - if not, drop 1/4th.

That and stop effing snacking.

Truly lazy. Memorised layout. Light is meh, only intruders trip now.

Then I trip on intruders.

Ya see, I'm split on it. On one hand, when I was a kid and I saw videos with old-timey american big shops - be it toys, department or something - all big, open, welcoming with everyone smiling and that super fun and nice atmosphere I was sooo sad I couldn't experience that.

On the other hand, self checkout cuts roughly 5-10 minutes of time each time I go to the shop, and as I pretty much speedrun what I need and beeline it to checkout, that means I am spending 10 minutes max at any shop with these. It's so damn convienient I started ignoring shops without it.

But then...I live in european country, and there the only thing preventing theft is a scale inbuilt into self checkout, sometimes coupled with receipt barcode scanner at the exit. Most bigger, and I mean bigger, shops with these have whole one employee per 6-8 of self-checkouts, pretty much there to help in case of approving your age or dealing with more problematic products, like clothing, rarely with something too light for scale to detect.

Not USA, but I am somewhat patriotic. For those who actually don't understanding why burning a flag irks some folk: Flag is a symbol of a country. People who feel pride for their country, who feel like they really are a part of that country and root for it, are feeling something akin to being spat on when the flag is burned, as it shows disrespect for country and what it stands for, them included.

I don't judge people without context tho, as often burning the flag is a method of showing major dissatisfaction with how country is being run - in a sense, showing that one doesn't feel this connection anymore.

And when done "for fun"...well, idiots are everywhere, whatever.
