More often than not it's more appropriate to say "I misunderstood, how should it have been done?" or "Sorry, I wasn't paying attention. I'll be more careful" which may or may not include an apology depending on whether you inconvenienced someone else.

If it's from the last few years and the barrel input has an adjacent usb-c port it may accept usb power delivery

The port may not even be labeled for it

or copy it to a usb drive; last time i checked external drives will automatically map to the next available drive letter, so you could just plug one in and type D:\bypassnro

that is assuming the script doesnt use relative paths or have any checks against doing this
