Didn't know that the dreamcast version was superior. I'll have to check that out.

I could be wrong but I don't think that the decomp/recomp tools are available for Dreamcast the way they are for n64. Like if I want a game to run natively on Linux without an emulator whike doing things like raytracing then it seems like the n64 games would be where I'd have to start.

Unless there are decomp/recomp tools for the dreamcast?

How easy is it to decomp these games? I really want to play Star Wars Episode I: Racer on Linux with raytracing and all that.

Excellent point.

starts listening the bomb rush cyberfunk ost and wonders what it would be like to switch the soundtrack for both games

Second step: Use an army of Picardos as mining slaves.

The federation has a lot of stuff to make and no money to pay.

I've been parcooking rice like this for about 3 years now. It's very little effort and doesn't change the rice enough to matter.

I've been digging a trench for overflow water from my rain storage to a nearby swale. I found a clay deposit and have been storing any clumps I dig up so I can process into something I can make into fermentation jars later. I totally had this thought, knowing full well that my father won't understand anything about what I'm doing, my ancient homos get me.

I like this idea in concept. However in most cases failure is mostly due to power loss. So unless these seprate systems have different power sources it might not protect from catastrophy that much.

As some one who does aquaponics at home. Here are some things ive learned which you might consider.

  • There is a minimum physical footprint that these systems use, especially if you are trying to conserve power. So it might make more sense to max out those systems in that minimum footprint.
  • Different fish can have very different temperature and pH requirements.
  • The pH and temp that the fish like isn't always what a plant wants.
  • some fish have much greater ranges of pH and temp requirements than others.
  • if indoors, it's easy for a pest to establish. Like aphids will trive without ladybugs or green lacewings.
  • Vegetables grown in aquaponic systems simply do not taste as good as vegetables grown in soil. Often they are lacking flavor.
  • something about the water in an aquaponic system is excellent for propagation from plant cuttings.

For these reasons, I use aquaponics more as a backup and complimentary grow system to my no till regenative garden. Having an indoor system is great in the winter if you want leafy greens or to proprpgate trees for the next season.

What are your backup plans for an internet and telecom shutdown?

I don't believe trusting in satilite internet companies (especially one owned by a fascist) are very practical.

Outside of radio and ad-hoc networks however, I'm not sure what other options would be feasible for the average person that wanted to prepare for something like this.

I love Jellyfin. I did think these recommendations were a bit funny however since they were so off.

Maybe the recommendations need to also look at the movies mpaa rating? Like something PG shouldn't be recommended after watching an R and especially not vice versa.

I guess it becomes complex quickly if you want to add other rating systems to the mix.

I was shopping for a new scythe blade when I found this beautiful and incredibly long competition scythe blades.

In the video, they seem to be judged not just on time but also on how well the area is mowed. I find this fascinating.
