To protect their young would be my guess.

Don't count your chickens before they are hatched. The election isn't over. This nations racism, sexism, and sheer stupidity might be too much to overcome.

But Republican voters think politicians are talking about other people, not them.

Everything felt lighter. Depression for me felt like someone had increased the effects of gravity just for me. It took immense effort to get out of bed or to make myself move to accomplish anything. The meds turned gravity back to normal.

Republicans think the public is too stupid to decide what they want.

I was supervising filling in a pit we had dug on the edge of a forest. We had dump trucks coming in dumping gravel. One particular driver wasn't great at his job and there had been issues with him in the past.

That driver came in and dumped his gravel, but then he drove off with his bed still raised and almost immediately smashed into electric lines that ran off into the forest. One telephone pole even snapped at the base and fell over.

Within 30 seconds multiple cops came speeding onto the job site. It turns out those electric lines ran to a radio tower in the woods that ran the police radio. The idiot in the dump truck had taken out the police comms for the whole town.

We need an ad tax. Whatever percent of revenue the company spends on advertising, they need to pay the same in a tax. That would punish the industries that advertise the most aggressively.

Are you suggesting coconuts migrate?!

All marketplaces should be nationalized. App store, Amazon, food delivery apps. They are inherently anti-free market.

I mean, the server is a victim too, aren't they? I would be horrified if something so simple I did killed someone.

While I agree service jobs deserve a lot more pay and better training, it just isn't fair to put a person's literal life in the hands of someone who just signed up to serve coffee. They didn't sign up for that responsibility.

Supposedly the Egyptians did know how to make a simple battery. Mythbusters reproduced the battery and it produced around 4 volts. It only takes 1.5 volts to produce hydrogen gas from water via electrolysis. It's technically within the scientific capability of the Egyptians to do this, although I don't think it likely.

I pay all my bills online so I'm used to navigating logins and payment apps. I never have nearly as much trouble paying credit card bills.

My password wasn't working, so I tried recovery. The recovery asked for my email, birthdate, zip code, and last 4 digits of my SSN. All things I know well, but they say it's wrong. Now I'm locked out of my account for the 2nd time in two days....

I almost think it's a conspiracy to enable charging people more late fees.
