i dont know, i dont think so (without a user asking them to?). i think it would be less trouble for them to just create new accounts on their own. same result, but nobody can claim that their deleted account was restored. i think restoring deleted accounts could lead to legal trouble?

thats another thing. no internet points, so no bots to farm them. upvotes really only indicate the quality of the post or comment that receives the upvotes. no way to use the total number of points to claim validity of your posts or to brag with them.

that being said, at one point we will need to figure out a way to identify and prevent bots that just post propaganda. while we wont have the problem of karmawhoring bots, they dont have the need to karmawhore and can try to spread their propaganda immediately.

PSA: delete your account!

being banned is funny and stuff, but reddit can, has and will unban accounts to inflate their user count for their investors.

delete every account, post and comment if you can.

dont get banned, just delete your account. reddit is notorious in unbanning people to inflate their user count to investors.

you mean to get your 12th daily dose of microplastics?

jokes aside, i hate when my sashimi touches the ginger for take-out. the spots denature (is that the correct term in english?) as if it was cooked. i sure wish they used more shredded raddish.

having some similarities does not make them identical. having all similarities makes them identical. having one community generate traffic and distractions with memes does make a big difference.

both communities should coexist. siphoning users from one to another community is a dickmove. however, i expect most users to be smart enough to just join both. i think a 3 day ban is not the end of the world, especially since you make it sound like your only input in their community was advertising for another community. i guess nothing of value was lost on that front and it had a nice side effect sparking this discussion.

i think posting your issue in this community here is also a dickmove.

maybe you should contact the mods privately and talk with THEM on that matter. i think your comment was phrased fairly and did not really say "hey, leave this community and join us!" - so i think it is worth trying to find a solution.

from my experiece: this style of displaying content is only ass if you visit the website for the first time and have a huge backlog of content.

ongoing comics with regular updates will mostly be frequented by visitors that already know all strips and just want to read the most recent one.

BUT (big but!): the fact that the navigation buttons for each comic say "previous" and "next" but will navigate to the next and previous chapter tells me, that the layout is not used as inteded. so... valid criticism!

I feel the same, but it helps to not just browse "subscribed" but to also check out "local" and especially "all"

You can also take a few minutes and check out the "communities" overview and join those you recognise by name or browse a few of them to decide if you want to join them.

It does not matter on which instance most of the time. Also, I am subscribed to similar communities on different instances, cause why not. Worst case scenario: I get duplicate news.

Hunt Showdown did this in the worst way. they got all Call of Duty with their UI, after they got a CoD manager on their team. surprise, shit sucks now.
