Oh damn. Okay, realizing that a lot of my “pickiness” with clothes was actually a ‘tism thing opened a lot of doors, but also turned into a bit of a rollercoaster. I started my transition at the same time as it really clicked I was neurodivergent so my desires to explore fashion I felt I had been robbed of clashed with my sensory stuff.

I prefer tighter under-things, not going into detail why, but hopefully y’all can piece it together. Most of my shirts are 100% cotton, mostly looser and cropped shorter because I’ve got a tiny torso. I hate it when I feel like a shirt is sticking around my hips and has to pull itself up when I lean/twist. So loose flowy tops generally, unless I’m going for a specific fashion moment. This extends to bras. Usually softer “t-shirt” bras, but I can put up with something less comfortable so long as I look particularly good in it and I’m not wearing it for a full day.

Pants have been a journey. I used to get really bad eczema on the backs of my knees, so for a long time I only wore shorts. Year round, rain, shine, snow. Jeans in particular were a real struggle as a kid. I grew out of my eczema, so I’ve forced myself to at least try a lot of the pants I hated as a kid again. This made me discover the wonderful world of second hand jeans. The big reason I couldn’t handle jeans as a kid was I would be trying new, un-broken in, jeans, and they are just waaaaayyyyy too scratchy.

Outer layers. Idk, so long as my base is comfy, I use outer layers as fashion opportunities.

Oh v necks or at least relaxed neck line shirts only. Normal t-shirt neck lines feel like I’m being choked, and not in the fun way.

I got long winded, I think that’s most of the specifics I usually deal with.

I also want to get into this!! I’m over six foot, and like 75% legs now that I wear my pants in the right spot. Buying pants is quite literally impossible on a bad day, and compromising on a good day. I do have a few YouTube creators for making your own underwear, but I’ll have to track them down later. Please remind me if I haven’t done that in like a day or so. The one I’m thinking of does mostly lingerie, but she might have videos of more basics further back in her catalogue.

I also have a pair of those and I like them. You kind of need to adjust your expectations and realize the specific use case. Hi-Fi they are not, but the point is to leave your ears open to the sounds of your environment and in that they excel. Would recommend.

THE SOUNDTRACK IS SO GOOD!! After seeing the movie the first time I just dragged the whole thing into my playlist. That quote in particular is a fav of mine as well!

I know 5 trans masc people. Though I think only one of them is binary trans. 2 of them are into tech though, and all of them are quite nerdy. In fact I know fewer femmes, including myself, than I know mascs, and I’m the only cliche, techy, arch Linux installing, trans femme of that group.

Worse, but I think a big part of that has been giving myself the space to have those sensory response moments, and just like understanding myself better, being more patient with myself, stuff like that.

Amazing! Thanks so much for the info!

Syncing freetube with syncthing?? I use both of those, but I didn’t know there was some way to keep freetube synced across devices. What does that setup look like?

Not going to lie I found it to be quite mid. I’m sort of tough to please when it comes to horror, especially supernatural horror, so take that with a big grain of salt. From a technical stance it is a fantastic piece of cinema, the filming itself, the sound design, the pacing, like it’s there, but I found the plot lacking in ways I won’t explain due to spoilers. I’d say it’s worth seeing on the big screen, and I’m so glad the crew is seeing such big success from the film, but it didn’t quite live up to the hype for me.

Not a proxy, but cryptpad is a fairly good alternative.

I’ve been toying with a “Pay Per View” model for a bit. But it’s sort of modified.

Basically you can “pay what you want” on a per view basis. You as a user get to decide how valuable your view is and pay a creator that much each time you watch a video. Maybe this gets linked to watch time somehow to avoid people just spamming short content. YouTube presumably gets a cut to keep the lights on.

Creators making actually good content will hopefully attract viewers willing and able to pay, and viewers that have the means and really like a creator can up the amount they are paying. This could be on a per channel basis, or just a blanket setting of I pay someone ¢10 a view or something.

Idk, seems like a bit of a silly idea now I type it out

I think I know two Destiny 2 streamers that have mentioned it. That’s about it because that is the only online “competitive” game I play. To be clear, I daily drive it for all the other protections it provides. Mullvad just struggled with speeds when I gamed, so I couldn’t just leave it on. Proton didn’t have a noticeable impact so I could just leave it running.

For some reason I can only find stock images of this pill case. I have it on good authority it makes a satisfying clicking noise and my gay, neurodivergent ass wants one.

Ideally not an Amazon link, I deleted my account a bit ago and I do not plan to make a new one.

UPDATE: It would seems this is a prepackaged way E is sometimes distributed. Thanks to folks that pointed this out.
