If you want to edit photos then Affinity is passable, and GIMP is a joke.

If all you want to do is draw, then Krita is a very capable alternative to Photoshop, but being good at only a specific subset of Photoshop capabilites doesn't turn it into a replacement for it

Sadly there is no alternative that is even remotely as capable

Not entirely correct. If you own a legitimate copy of the book on your Kindle you can strip the DRM even on the newest version.

If you acquired the file through illegitimate means and it still has the DRM on it, then the newest DRM is indeed not possible to remove yet

It's better to keep them as mobi files than converting to epub. Mobi works on almost every device, and converting to epub can always result in messed up formatting or chapters.

If you absolutely have to convert the files to epub for some reason, at least keep the original mobi files as well

With a wifi fridge for example I can know if it stops working and the temp starts rising before I have a fridge full of spoiled food

A built in alarm sound would achieve the same goal without running the risk of your fridge becoming part of a botnet

VoLTE is needed, because 4g does not have any native calling functionality. Older 4g phones don't have VoLTE, and revert back to 3g when trying to do a phone call. Since 3g is getting shut off, this means those phones will no longer be able to do calls at all, only data and SMS will keep working over 4g for them

The Exynos is a deal breaker. What use is a phone when the battery is dead after a half day of use

If you need a bottle opener to open a bottle you aren't alcoholic

This would have also been prevented if the electrical install included an RCD. It would have tripped instantly when the neutral gets disconnected

Even here where there are mandatory annual inspections meant to catch these things, no one ever checks headlights beyond whether they turn on and off

German TÜV inspections absolutely check that the headlights aren't foggy and are aligned correctly

Maybe you need to get your eyes checked. I rarely get blinded on the road in Germany, and when I do it's almost always someone who just forgot to turn off his high-beams. Active matrix headlights are very common here nowadays and never blind me
