LOL americans don't spend time "perfecting my craft," we spend time getting some other cunt to do all the work for us

[–] dual_sport_dork@lemmy.world 53 points 2 months ago (7 children)

I.e. hiring some Mexicans to do it, and then bitching about Mexicans stealing our jobs.

[–] solsangraal@lemmy.zip 28 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago)

no lie, i saw a bumper sticker that said "this is america, speak english!"

it was on the back of an isuzu hombre. don't think it was meant to be ironic, as it was surrounded by other typical dumb conservative buzz phrases

Nah. We spend all our time making sure that the other person can't do the work. The worst fucking thing on earth is someone allowed to actually just do their job.

Tarnation-sama.

It’s great that no matter which part you start reading first, it still makes sense.

[–] dejected_warp_core@lemmy.world 27 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Even better: it still makes sense in every order. Try vertical.

I bet she only fucks in missionary position. Why not reverse cowgirl?

!Because you never turn your back on family!<

[–] OpenStars@discuss.online 10 points 2 months ago

Oooh, burn! (but not as bad as the STD 😜)

[–] Kiwi_fella@lemmy.world 76 points 2 months ago (3 children)

This picture is from a trip to Miami. If it's sold in America, then it's what Americans wear. I agree with Japan.

[–] EldritchFeminity@lemmy.blahaj.zone 17 points 2 months ago (2 children)

Honestly. The only thing they got wrong is the cowboy hat, and that's just because it's uncommon in most areas of the states. We'll slap the flag on anything - even things that it's "illegal" to put the flag on according to the same rules that say that you have to burn the flag if it touches the ground, like paper napkins.

[–] Got_Bent@lemmy.world 9 points 2 months ago (1 children)

As a Dallas resident, I'd assert that the cowboy hat is a fairly common accessory for women. Not so much for men until you get way out into the rural areas. (Fort Worth Stockyards notwithstanding)

It's actually against the flag code, which is not law. So it's at worst deeply disrespectful, depending on how seriously you take that kind of thing. But we also have this freedom of expression thing going on, which includes being obnoxious or disrespectful, so one might have a hard time getting the flag code into law in the first place.

I've been to Texas house parties. Some ladies wear these.

Also so do some men.

Dear Japan: not all white women look or dress like Tina Armstrong from Dead or Alive.

See, I look nothing like this:

[–] Noodle07@lemmy.world 19 points 2 months ago (1 children)
[–] MargotRobbie@lemmy.world 14 points 2 months ago (2 children)

And also for your information, that is clearly a picture of uh, "American actress Jaime Pressly" who is totally a completely different person.

[–] tigeruppercut@lemmy.zip 7 points 2 months ago

Shut up dummy!

[–] LordTrychon@startrek.website 6 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Hey guys! I think I found Jaime Pressly's account!

[–] tyler@programming.dev 27 points 2 months ago

They definitely do. It just depends on the time of year and area.

[–] The_Picard_Maneuver@lemmy.world 23 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago) (1 children)

I guess some do.

You might see this in the south, especially at a lake or beach.

[–] TexasDrunk@lemmy.world 8 points 2 months ago (5 children)

I saw two different women wearing something similar last night. The cowboy hats were those cheap distressed straw hats, though.

I mean if you don't own a Stetson are you even from the states?

What do you wear riding your horse into the city to sign that paperwork for the new drill site?

[–] MentallyExhausted@reddthat.com 42 points 2 months ago (1 children)

I live in a red boating area and this is almost exclusively what they wear.

[–] Etterra@lemmy.world 9 points 2 months ago

Sounds about right.

[–] BetaBlake@lemmy.world 29 points 2 months ago

As an alabamian, they aren't totally wrong

[–] captain_aggravated@sh.itjust.works 25 points 2 months ago

If we made a list of all the things American chicks wear, these would be on that list.

[–] BarrelAgedBoredom@lemm.ee 22 points 2 months ago

Go to an offroading event of some sort. Guaranteed to see at least a few ladies wearing exactly this

[–] lobut@lemmy.ca 19 points 2 months ago (1 children)

I've seen worse depictions of Japanese girls by Americans.

[–] afraid_of_zombies@lemmy.world 7 points 2 months ago

I think I should see these worse depictions to make sure that you are right.

[–] stebo02@lemmy.dbzer0.com 6 points 2 months ago

quite a few of them tbh

[–] sanpedropeddler@sh.itjust.works 15 points 2 months ago

If they've seen country music videos you can't really blame them.

[–] Zeke@fedia.io 13 points 2 months ago (1 children)
