So why did they name it D-hole?

[–] Carvex@lemmy.world 33 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Urethra is a weirder name for a dog

[–] CareHare@sh.itjust.works 3 points 2 months ago

That's Urinary Meatus for you, sir.

Wearing its victim down through constant negative remarks, cruel pranks, and petty bullying.

Oh man I haven't seen one of those pages in a long time

Love dholes! And it’s even card 69, nice.

They also make super cute bird like sounds when they’re hunting.

I love dholes. If I ever suffer a personality altering brain injury and become a serial killer, this is going to be my MO. Little whistles in the underbrush.

what are these cards? i remember seeing those ages ago but i can't remember the name 😐

Wildlife Fact File cards! You got a nifty 3 ring binder and then they would send you these cards in the mail as part of a subscription. I wish I still had mine!

[–] NycterVyvver@lemmy.world 6 points 2 months ago

I still have my original collection from the 1970s. Back then, they sent you a plastic green box (in those days, it was called "Illustrared Wildlife Treasury") to hold all your cards. That was before the 3-ring binder.

My fursona!

Another fun fact: dholes chirp and whistle, one might mistake their calls for bird sounds!
