This is pretty strange, even the article text does not back up the headline.

Dr Raha West, lead author and clinical research fellow at the department of surgery and cancer at Imperial College London, said: “While understanding and working with your natural sleep tendencies is essential, it’s equally important to remember to get just enough sleep, not too long or too short. This is crucial for keeping your brain healthy and functioning at its best.”

The study is not linked and the lead and co lead basically say, "get enough sleep", then other scientists not involved in the study say there are many “important limitations” to the study.

Hey guardian editors, be better

But it makes me feel good about myself, so it must be true.

I've noticed that The Guardian editorial quality overall seems to have slipped in recent years, and quite significantly so.

They changed editors in 2015, shortly after the intelligence services forced them to shred their hard drives in 2013. The quality seemed to decline after that, and the politics moved to the right, as shown by The Guardian being one of the leading voices in smearing Jeremy Corbyn right from day one of his leadership of the Labour Party.

...that makes sense. The intelligence services for the Anglosphere seem to lean pretty far right, anyway.

. . . What intelligence service leans left?

Not a clue, but if I had to guess completely blindly...SÄPO, maybe? Though, you do make a good point!

Wish they put effect type, size and p-value in the title...
