Worcestershire (Wuss - ter - sher) Worcester (Wuss - ter) Shire (sher)

You might think: War - sest- er - shy - er, but it's not.

Another one some people struggle with is Gloucestershire, looks like: glow - sest - er - shy - er but actually sounds like: Gloss - ter - sher.

I counter that with what my thouroughly midwestern American family has always called it: "wooster sauce".

Damn, did they have a competition with the French over who's got the most surplus letters in their language?

They had made love, and it had been sweet
Now she lay in his arms, her bliss was complete
"Can anything come between us?" she thought, "No way."
But she felt anxious, she needed to be sure today

She asked him, full of hope and youth
But instead of just kissing her, he said the truth

He hurt her so deeply, it made her want to die
For he said "online banking," when she asked, "What's on your mind?"
He said "online banking," and she wanted to weep
But she couldn't, she just lay there, and he fell asleep
