Generally, in work I try to give the benefit of doubt in situations like this - I don't want to be the one explaining sounding when someone uses the term about something else

Fwiw, the usage of that phrase in Fargo S2 irritated me, because it really doesn't make much sense for a woman to be using this as her quasi catchphrase.

gotdamn is a joke spelling, was popular several years ago. I think it was because with certain accents it sounded like that. Kind of like "periodt 💅"
