Lemmy itself allows you to block communities, instances, and users. But it does not support filtering by keyword, e.g. filtering out any post with the word “platypus” in the title regardless of where it was posted or by whom. With help from the comments below, here are some third party Lemmy clients that have their own implementation of keyword filtering:
- Eternity
- Raccoon
- Summit
- Tesseract
- Thunder
- Voyager
Do NOT support keyword filtering:
- Alexandrite
- Jerboa
- Lemmy UI
- mlmym
- Next
- Photon

Thanks. Are any of the apps that support it for desktop though? I mostly use desktop to browse
Voyager and Tesseract are both responsive web UIs that support both desktop/mobile. Your Instance offers Voyager through https://v.lemmy.dbzer0.com/. Your Instance does not offer Tesseract, but you could:
- test it out using the slow demo instance: https://tesseract.dubvee.org/
- self-host it on your own hardware using Docker or something: https://github.com/asimons04/Tesseract
- ask your admin to implement it
EDIT: I see Interstellar also has that feature. It is available for Linux via Flatpak or AppImage: https://github.com/jwr1/interstellar
Great tips. I appreciate the help!
Connect also supports keyword filtering.
Thanks! Any idea about other closed-source clients like Sync or Boost?
Sync has pretty extensive filtering options
