I had definitely noticed things were more quiet than usual on English Lemmy, so I figured it was just the Americans being busy with that.

Is there a way to proactively filter out a post like this? Even with certain communities and keywords blocked, this still slips through.

I think I misinterpreted that section! After rereading, you're right: my usage here should be fine.

As for something like Peertube or Pixelfed, I tend to prefer services that allow anonymous uploads over having to make an account and associate videos with "me". But that really is the best way to go about it, isn't it?
