How did they get that number so quickly? Don’t deaths have to be investigated, then reported? Is there a national database of suicides, and how do they get their count? I’m sure the CDC tries to track that kind of thing. As juicy as this “fact” is, I don’t believe it. It’s not improbable, but there’s no way they have numbers yet. Is someone out there counting news articles? How is the news reporting on suicides before the coroners rules them as such?
