Costly signaling

In the very least, it says β€œsexual assault is not a deal breaker for me.”

[–] TheLowestStone@lemmy.world 16 points 2 days ago

I was going to go with, "I'm ok with rape" but yours works too.

[–] Joeffect@lemmy.world 5 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

It's not sexual assault if I force you to do it... Probably how they think

[–] Zeppo@sh.itjust.works 13 points 1 day ago

I mean yeah, except to fellow deluded conservatives, being a β€œTrump supporter” is a red flag indicating someone is very confused and/or probably an asshole.

"Dating is hard for young boys, especially for unstable, undateable, ignorant, bigoted pieces of shit that actively hate women and are overall net negatives on the world, that as a bonus come from families of similar human failures, happy Thanksgiving dinner party! with open carry, kid rock background music during dinner and casual sexual assault attempts sprinkled throughout the day."

All these flag-huggers constantly violate flag code.

I don't even give a shit about flag code, but the hypocrisy annoys the fuck out of me.

[–] JasonDJ@lemmy.zip 7 points 2 days ago

What do you mean "it's disrespectful to hang the flag behind my pavement princess's over-the-cab exhaust and roll coal"?

Brother this is 'murica, it's disrespectful not to.

/s, of course.

The few women who would date a Trump supporter are already married... to their cousin, marriage was she was 16 and he was 35.

[–] refalo@programming.dev 4 points 2 days ago (1 children)

the number of "women for trump" bumper stickers I see daily are astounding.

[–] ByteOnBikes@slrpnk.net 2 points 1 day ago

I saw one recently and it was a man driving with his wife.

My favorite thing about Trump supporters is they reduce the dating pool for the rest of us

[–] VinnyDaCat@lemmy.world 6 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Unless you live in the deep south where half the women support him despite how it's essentially self-hatred.

My parents constantly complain about how I don't date people native to our state/general location. I think the last time I actually dated people who had roots here was 8 years ago in university prior to politics being ruined by Trump.

[–] HelixDab2@lemm.ee 1 points 1 day ago

In my experience--and I'm very solidly middle aged, so take that with a double handful of salt--the young women in the deep south trend fairly centrist/liberal, while the young men trend hard right. The women that tend to be Trump supporters appear to be middle aged and older, and usually don't have any significant college education.

As my wife says. "Why would I want to fuck a fascist lazy lay that's in love with a grandpa?"

[–] Mycatiskai@lemmy.ca 35 points 3 days ago (2 children)

Does she say this to you after you ask her something or during conversations about politics?

Like a self-inflicted extinction event for the ingroup. A study in selective evolution.

[–] moriquende@lemmy.world 37 points 3 days ago (3 children)

Sadly this isn't a genetic issue, but a cultural one. You guys seriously need to figure out how to invest in proper, scientific, religion-free education.

[–] HowManyNimons@lemmy.world 6 points 2 days ago

Schools in the US are governed by boards elected by the public. Anti-science nutcases run for these positions and get their churches to back them. The only way to keep them out is to vote in all the down-ballot races, and remind your friends how important it is.

[–] Marcumas@lemmy.world 26 points 2 days ago

If it's education, it's actively being defunded. That's the real problem

lol such fawning obsessive adoration for anyone is cringe af, but exponentially worse when the object of this adoration is a cowardly weak rapist con man traitor loser

it's a miracle if any woman ever even speaks to these ridiculous dweeb troompa loompas

[–] UnderpantsWeevil@lemmy.world 9 points 2 days ago (1 children)

a cowardly weak rapist con man traitor loser

That's simply the norm for social media personalities in the modern era. Donald Trump's presidency is a product of half a century of misogyny in marketing, advertising, and influencing.

He won't be the last rapist, con artist, or kleptocrat to run. He won't be the last to win. Not so long as economic conditions for Americans continue to degrade, while fascist policy is championed as a panacea.

[–] JasonDJ@lemmy.zip 3 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (1 children)

This is my true fear.

Like...Trump makes W look good. He's now got this public image of a slightly daffy uncle. Like 2000-2008 were just "Earnest goes to the Whitehouse". As if he's as dangerous and malicious as Mr. Bean.

By extrapolating from there...there's gonna be someone that is gonna make Trump look good.

Don't forget convicted felon

[–] auzy@lemmy.world 17 points 2 days ago (1 children)

And don't forget.. It had to be a totally unanimous verdict between 12 random people to convict him for the tax fraud at least.

So an incredibly high bar had been set, and 100% of them still convicted him on 100% of counts.

And he's also a rapist obviously

Somebody has to sleep with them or else they start shooting up shopping malls.

[–] Taleya@aussie.zone 8 points 1 day ago

They can sleep with each other

It's a vicious cycle that always ends up with some sweaty dude holding a tiki torch saying "it's not me, it's the fault of women"

Angry, sexless, uneducated, young men make for good expendable soldiers.

[–] Jumpingspiderman@lemmy.world 34 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago) (6 children)

Not any more. Good soldiers have to know how to use some pretty f*ckin' complicated technology these days. Angry sexless uneducated men (young or old) are suitable only for meat waves like Russia uses.

[–] Pistcow@lemm.ee 33 points 3 days ago

Same statement for being a police officer.
