Priapus over here like

[–] JackGreenEarth@lemm.ee 28 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Asclepius had his healing rod with the snake around it, Hermes had a rod with two snakes around it, Zeus had his lightning rod and Eros just had a bow.

[–] vxx@lemmy.world 13 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

I thought Zeus was holding lightning. I can't see a rod and it isn't mentioned anywhere.

You see when a god and a goose love each other very much ...

[–] Brickhead92@lemmy.world 2 points 2 weeks ago

... And that's why geese are so dangerous.

[–] pyrflie@lemm.ee 25 points 2 weeks ago

Just about every Greek myth starts with Zues' raised rod.

[–] jmcs@discuss.tchncs.de 17 points 2 weeks ago

All of the above?

Bro is named Assclapius, who else would it be

[–] Lennny@lemmy.world 5 points 2 weeks ago

Zeus used his to create more Gods though

[–] Hazmatastic@lemm.ee 14 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Asclepius, of course. He had a staff with snakes intertwining all around that bitch.

[–] mwproductions@lemmy.world 9 points 2 weeks ago

Well, just one. The rod with two snakes is the caduceus.

And this is why Netflix cancelled Kaos.

[–] SpaceNoodle@lemmy.world 10 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

Aw man, this is how I found out. It was so fucking good.

[–] pyre@lemmy.world 10 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

if it was so fucking good, you didn't need to find out. you know it was going to happen

[–] SpaceNoodle@lemmy.world 4 points 2 weeks ago

Yeah, after the first episode I told my wife it was a shame it would get cancelled.

[–] Godric@lemmy.world 3 points 2 weeks ago

Such a shame, I wanted to see more Zeus

[–] njm1314@lemmy.world 10 points 2 weeks ago

Damn, a distressing number of people in this thread don't seem to have gotten the joke.

[–] EVERGREEN@lemmy.one 8 points 2 weeks ago

Eros was the god of sex, so I’d say his rod was pretty important.

[–] sirico@feddit.uk 7 points 2 weeks ago

I mean he used it a fair bit tbf
