“The war is not meant to be won, it is meant to be continuous.
Hierarchical society is only possible on the basis of poverty and ignorance.
In principle the war effort is always planned to keep society on the brink of starvation.
The war is waged by the ruling group against its own subjects and its object is not victory,
but to keep the very structure of society intact.”

― George Orwell

This is hilarious

Some clients make it worse by not wrapping text in code blocks. Please use > at the start of each line (including blank ones between paragraphs) to make a quote block. If you need a newline (such as in poems), end the line with 2 spaces and just one line break. If you really need to put non-code inside a code block (such as ASCII art or this), the best practice is to use the following syntax:

```text
bla bla bla
```

This specifies text as the syntax-highlighting language (which obviously means no highlighting) rather than whatever the default is (Java?).

Are there hostages in Lebanon?

[–] kamenlady@lemmy.world 4 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago) (1 children)

Are hostages even part of the war narrative anymore?

I heard they found dead hostages, like oops, they weren't even searching at that moment. I also didn't hear a word from Israel's government ( as opposed to the population ) regarding the rescue of hostages for a long time.

Israel is killing who they want, where they want and it seems that the 2 powers supporting Israel will continue doing exactly that.

There really are no more lines that a sane person thought couldn't be crossed, without losing support from everyone.

New line to be crossed next: talk shit about them online, your phone blows up.
