Dude wasn't very bright. Everyone in town must know about True temper. Bet be last time he pranks someone.

Let’s be honest, he TRUEly deserved to get his ass kicked for blowing out dude’s match. I know this was the early 1900’s, but you don’t fuck with a smoker’s nicotine. Just don’t.

As a former smoker I agree. I killed someone who fucked with me getting my smoke on.

"It's just a prank, bro!" But 100 years ago

I'd destroy a guy who smiled at me like that too. I don't feel like being the victim of a horror movie.

Love to see the proper use of "Woe Betide", let's bring it into more frequent use. Example: Woe betide she who spills my pumpkin spice latte!

  • "O gentle Aaron, we are all vndone. / Now helpe, or woe betide thee euermore." -shakespeare
  • "Woe betide the Subſcribers, their Children and Wives, / This Action ſhall coſt 'em five hundred Folks Lives." -w.pittis
  • ""God save us!" cried the captain, / "For naught can man avail; / Oh, woe betide the ship that lacks / Her rudder and her sail!["] -jg whittier

lol i love this one. do you know why this is so lq? do you screenshot them?

[–] Rolando@lemmy.world 7 points 2 months ago

Yeah I screenshot and crop. When I include the title, I use the pdf so the title search words aren't highlighted.

I usually don't do any further editing, but In this case the scanned image was a little "faded"-looking, so I messed with the contrast and brightness a bit in GIMP. Maybe it wasn't enough.
