A place to meme about the glorious ROMAN EMPIRE (and Roman Republic, and Roman Kingdom)! Byzantines tolerated! The HRE is not.

RULES:

  1. No racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, bigotry, etc. The past may be bigoted, but we are not.

  2. Memes must be Rome-related, not just the title. It can be about Rome, or using Roman aesthetics, or both, but the meme itself needs to have Roman themes.

Explanation: The Greek leader Pyrrhus of Epirus led an army of Greeks in support of Greek city-states in Italy against Rome. While he was an accomplished general, the Roman forces were stubborn, and made Pyrrhus's victories so costly that he supposedly said "One more such victory against the Romans, and we shall be ruined" giving rise to the phrase "Pyrrhic Victory" for a victory that costs more than it's worth!

Aaand it's the only thing people remember about him. He went on to fight the Persians or something afterwards, once he had a new crop of sad peasent conscripts. It's okay, he couldn't see them die through his stupid poker visor anyway.

Some people also remember that he got merked by an old lady in Argos tossing a roof tile on his head!
