Is there a good reason why journalists keep calling this "far-right disorder" instead of what it really is: Fascist Terrorism?

It's probably a legal thing, like 'allegedly'. Until the gov officially declares them terrorists my guess is they water down the language to avoid lawsuits.

That makes sense.

It still infuriates me a bit though.

I'd think of it this way:

It will hopefully help cement for way more people that the right wing is horrid and needs to be stopped. Terrorists and Fascists can be othered by more moderate right wingers, Far-Right is harder as it has Right right in there and hopefully makes them more and more uncomfortable and ashamed until they at least feel like not voting anymore, if not flip to the left entirely

White people can't be terrorists.

Those of us who grew up during the IRA bombing find that statement odd.

Need to get some sociologists on this to determine if Irish people counted as White at the time.

HumanPenguin is from the UK, where Irish people have always been considered white. Past discrimination between the Irish and other Brits had nothing to do with the colour of their skin.
