We made the same mistake after Jan 6.

For the purpose of staying critical of even the good guys in history (no one has ever been perfect).

Sherman did help carry out Grant's order to expel Jews from the Union occupied south, so he defintely committed at least one other mistake during the war.

We could probably find a few more, honestly, but "Sherman made a few mistakes" isn't as punchy.
