Mate thanks for sharing that I'll look later! Can you get academic articles? There's some on extremism in the gaming community I found interesting

I was gripped by the menendez brothers. I watched the netflix show then documentary, then watched a lot of the trial particularly Eric's testimony. I've also read Robert Rands book on it.

God their dad was a monster, it's heavily evidenced with school and medical records, other victims coming forwards, witness accounts etc etc. Also I've no doubt the parents were actually going to kill them.

I was riveted to the election results for the Carleton riding in Canada's last election.

Because that's the riding of Mr. Maple MAGAt Himself: Pierre Poilievre, leader of the Conservative (a.k.a. Maple MAGAt) Party in Canada.

The results are summarized thusly:

Honestly, the Russian invasion of Ukraine was probably the last major news event I actually paid significant attention to. The constant firehose of bad news has made me pretty apathetic. Even serious events - ones that aren’t minor at all - just end up feeling like yet another distant dumpster fire I have no control over. So I scroll past them and get on with my life. The world was supposed to have ended already - yet here we are. I just can’t bring myself to feel that sense of urgency anymore, unless it’s something as immediate and personal as Russia trying to invade my country next.

I got obsessed with that too, it was terrifying and awful. So many people killed so brutally and you know he won't stop at that if he has a choice. I bought a wind up radio and at one point was so anxious I was taking a rucksack with the radio, clothes and food into work.
