Hello everyone,

This community has been created a few days ago, and as it is usually good practice, we would like to have a few more mods onboard! (I will probably step down myself once we have found the mods, I already have too much communities for my taste)

Being a mod mostly involves

  • Managing reports for comments and posts breaking the rules (e.g. spam or insults)
  • Keeping the community active, for instance by managing regular discussions threads, or posting to the community

If you are interested, feel free to say so in the comments!

Hello everyone,

I noticed I have been the only mod here, which is usually bad practice. Anyone wanting to join me?

The community is quite laid back, so usually not a lot of work to do. Modlog is public so power tripping is usually quite obvious.

It’s better if you are a regular commenter here, but that’s about it. I would also prefer Europeans, as it's the topic of the community.

Looking for new mods as it is usually bad practice to only have one.

People are usually pretty chill so very low level of work is expected.

Just to let you know that I will submit a request to take this community from the current mod, who is known to be a community squatter: https://lemm.ee/post/1040968

My plan is to

  • add this community to https://sub.rehab/ to increase visibility to new joiners
  • post some relevant content so that people don't see an empty page when they have a look
  • once the content is there, contacting the Reddit mods to see if they would allow a post promoting this community

Pinging @godless@latte.isnot.coffee as you seemed interested in this community

Edit: we should probably develop !askmen@lemmy.world first and then move from there
