I wish. I've taken close to 1g of edibles with a moderate (but still disappointing) high, and I once put 4oz of a friends green dragon (THC tincture) and only got the alcohol buzz when the provider got high AF off a quarter of that.
Unfortunately, for me, edibles really aren't shit.
I have the same problem. Never met an edible that had any effect on me. I've been smoking daily for years though, so my tolerance is something else. Sucks because I'd like to be able to use edibles in places you can't smoke (concerts, etc) but alas

Agreed. That being said, while I have not and will not bring smokables to concerts, I've been passed a j or blunt so many times at shows lol

That's a suspiciously high tolerance, I also have a high tolerance but even 80mg is enough to knock me on my ass. Is your liver ok friend? A gram of THC in your edibles should be pretty close to a 12 gram dab in terms of effectiveness.
My liver appears to be fine, never had anything out of nominal ranges in yearly physical/blood draws and I process alcohol fairly quickly (I was actually super disappointed about that with the green dragon too, I felt the buzz and didn't recognize it was only alcohol until I started coming off it like I normally do when drinking), and smoking/vaping does give me a buzz, I just have to do more than I want to get 'high'. I don't dab super often but it does hit me harder than vape carts do, but they don't couch lock me like they did back in the day.
It may just have to do with how my body handles the THC intake. I've found that sometimes eating a good amount of yogurt will amplify the edible, but it's not super consistent.
Don't know your circumstances, but if you live somewhere with a legal market I'd be curious how you react with a sublingual RoA (like a higher dose breath strip style thing you put under your tongue).
Some folks are just hard-headed when it comes to THC in general, though :(

Cool! If they don't and you're curious yourself, you could also try RSO under the tongue, but having done that before it's kinda nasty/IME sucks all of the moisture out of your mouth.
