We had a blackbird in the back yard who was adopted by a flock of sparrows. Initially her mum died and her dad fed her, then dad disappeared and she started begging food from the sparrows. They obliged and she was part of their flock from then on, even when she got a husband.
This reminds me of a time when I was about ten, I was going to have a bath after eating supper, but I had to clear the table and put the dirty dishes in the kitchen sink. I must have been thinking about my bath, because I put the dishes in the bathtub and was almost to the kitchen sink to have my bath before I realized my mistake.
I saw the rest of your post but my brain kept playing back homer in the bath and Bart smacking him with the chair
I semi-regularly put the milk in the cupboard and usually realize when I try to put the cereal in the fridge and it doesn't fit
