(solved) If i link my Microsoft account to Minecraft does the email/phone that is connected to my ps4 account get an email/text about it? (lemmy.world)

My family doesnt know i have a Microsoft acc/email acc. Im worried that if i sign into my Minecraft with my Microsoft acc then my family member who has their email and phone number hooked up to my PS4 account will get an email/text about it. (For context im not allowed to have an email (or anything like that) so if they were to find out that would lead to a bunch of drama i cant deal with again. (they have found out about old emails and stuff in the past and lost their minds about it.)) the ps4 account DOES have parental controls/etc on it.

T>T yeah..Im not allowed to have anything to do with the internet besides use a guest acc on youtube (also including the netflix and disney+ account i have (even the disney+ has a pg13 setting on it). besides my computer (which i use a school loaner computer (what im using right now) is controlled by the online school i go too and they can see everything i do on it)) i have nothing but a ps4 acc which has parental controls. Which im sure is now understandable why i have secret email acc i made (which didnt require a phone number) TwT Another reason i lost access to internet back in 2021 is because i did RP with these 2 girls as well and my mom insisted was inappropriate chatting (it was not and was never EVER 18+) but she had refused to listen to my 'excuses' saying it would get me into more trouble. T>T since then ive never been able to talk with anyone other then my classmates which i wouldnt do because they honestly were mean and my teacher whoever that would of been + my family T-T

I'm a bit confused - Is the Microsoft account also the PS4 account, and is owned by your family member?

If you link a Minecraft account to a Microsoft account, the Microsoft email (Outlook) will get an email saying the Minecraft account is linked. If that's the same email as the PS4, and another family member has access to that email, then they will see it

Also as an aside, wtf kind of strict parents do you live with

No, the Microsoft acc i have is linked under the secret email acc (is not a google acc) i have. :) Also, the reason is because i used to have 2 online friends i talked too and my family refused to believe any of the proof i had that those 2 girls were who they said they were. I had talked to the girls for almost a year and had multiple interactions that they were who they said they were, my mother just wouldnt listen. (the 3 of us never meet up irl but talked through discord and tiktok and they had over 50+ tiktoks showing they were who they said they were as well as they did live videos with their faces) (this happened back in 2021) and ive not had a phone or access to the internet since. (im home schooled so thats why i resorted to online friends) T>T

I would ask your parents about getting a child-locked Microsoft/Xbox account.
