When ever a web page uses the camera it only has access to the selfie cam

The website developer can configure which camera to use. Instead of

<input type="file" accept="image/*" capture="user" />

it is

<input type="file" accept="image/*" capture="environment" />

This doesn’t help you, but it’s cool for a web dev.
