I like news but American news is trash. I block all communities that are dedicated to US News but I'd love it if people wouldn't post US news to "world"
Yeah I've been rough, no hate towards americans. But jesus christ I don't give a shit about donald trump please leave me alone.
You might not give a shit but the American elections are going to have a huge impact no matter where you live. It's world news. And yeah there's a lot of nonsense news about the US elections but there's plenty of nonsense news elsewhere too. Why not start a lemmy community specifically about non-US news if you feel that's lacking?

lemmy.ml removed the c/politics because is basically c/usa like the c/politics in lemmy.world
i think /c/politics@lemmy.ml was removed due to redundancy with /c/worldnews@lemmy.ml more than /c/usa@lemmy.ml.
that's not to say it couldn't be a place for non-news-related political discussions, but in practice it mostly got posts which would fit in worldnews.
it could be restored if one or more users with a good history wants to take responsibility for moderating it.
What that have to do with "Too much american spam."?
They removed c/politics and keep c/usa.
