6 Be civil in comments and no accusations of being a bot, 'paid by Putin,' Tankie, etc.

Sounds good, but I do think we need to give the government power to regulate industry and apply pressure to direct the economy generally.
oh definitely, regulations are for sure needed in this. As for the aplication of pressure on the economy, ideally that's what tax cuts would be good for, like universities don't have to pay taxes because the government has valued education and wants to support it. The problem with this is that lobbying can get the govt to give more tax cuts than are needed, and the richest get to pay vastly reduced taxed
Yes, also, telling companies that slavery is bad and they shouldn't do it. I'm not sure tax cuts would be powerful enough to handle slavery problems.
Yeah thats where the regulations come in. Tax cuts can be used in situations when a country needs to strategically boost some industry, like during a pandemic, temporary tax cuts on vaccine makers and related industries would help make the vaccines faster.
If a company is using slavery, how would you use tax cuts to prevent them from doing slavery?
