Oh I went to episcopal school and got tested on my knowledge of the Bible.
Yes the entire maga movement is a massive violation of the First Commandment, right down to venerating golden idols.
But Christianity is what Christians do.
When Quakers became abolitionists in defiance of the clear instructions of the Bible that slavery is a good thing, should be preserved, and that slaves should be grateful, they are being Christians.
When (some) Presbyterians allow women to lead church services, in defiance of the clear instructions of the Bible, they are being Christians.
And when the overwhelming majority of American Christians wholeheartedly support maga, they are also being Christian.
