It was so "oh they're invincible" and then continuously get their asses beat, even by a guy with 4 telephone poles sticking out his body
My friend, there are two different breeds of orcs in the series.
The "super invincible" orcs you're talking about are the Uruk-hai, bred by Saurumon in Isengard. The veggies that Boromir and co chop up are just normal, run of the mill Mordor orcs.
It's been a while since I watched the movies but I recall Sarumon first talking about how great and invincible the orcs were and then 5-10 minutes later they got veggie chopped by the guy with the 4 arrows sticking out of his chest. That's how it is in my memories anyways, I'll have to watch it again some day
Well here's how I know you haven't seen them in a while, nothing happens in 5-10 minutes in this series 😉
