Conservatives are living in hell right now. They plug their ears and hum to themselves whenever the climate disaster comes up, but that goes to prove that it upsets them just as much on some level. And meanwhile they are living in an artificial world constructed to make them fearful and angry all the time. Polling shows that over the last ten years, conservatives in Canada have diverged dramatically from the rest of us in their perception of crime and the risks they personally face from it. While we have been getting safer, they think we've been placed in unprecedented danger. They are living in fear all the time.
