Replacement for r/steamdeck_linux.

As Lemmy doesn't have flairs yet, you can use these prefixes to indicate what type of post you have made, eg:
[Flair] My post title

The following is a list of suggested flairs:
[Discussion] - General discussion.
[Help] - A request for help or support.
[News] - News about the deck.
[PSA] - Sharing important information.
[Game] - News / info about a game on the deck.
[Update] - An update to a previous post.
[Meta] - Discussion about this community.

Some more Steam Deck specific flairs:
[Boot Screen] - Custom boot screens/videos.
[Selling] - If you are selling your deck.

These are not enforced, but they are encouraged.

I googled this issue but only got a couple of Reddit posts from a year ago with no real answer. Does anybody here know what's going on with beta client updates on the stable update channel?

Try this:

Enable developer mode (settings>system)

Then open the developer menu (settings>developer) and turn on "Show Advanced Update Channels"

Now go back to the System category and you should have separate options for OS Update and Steam Client. Make sure they're both set to stable.

If they're already stable, change the client one to beta, and then back to stable.
