micromobility - Ebikes, scooters, longboards: Whatever floats your goat, this is micromobility
Ebikes, bicycles, scooters, skateboards, longboards, eboards, motorcycles, skates, unicycles: Whatever floats your goat, this is all things micromobility!

micromobility is seen as a potential solution to moving people more efficiently around cities"

It's a little sad that we need to actually say this, but:
Don't be an asshole or you will be permanently banned.
Respectful debate is totally OK, criticizing a product is fine, but being verbally abusive will not be tolerated.
Focus on discussing the idea, not attacking the person.

Not in the literal sense, at least not right now. But demand for regular bikes is dropping in developed countries, while e-bike demand has exploded (no pun intended!). Manufacturers will follow the money.
Developing countries will still rely on regular bikes, but I don't think that's the market for these battery packs or e-bike conversion kits. I could be wrong about that, though.
I wish all e-bikes came with a battery like that. We need the most sustainable future possible, either because we were forced into it or because we choose that path, but it needs to happen. Repairable, long-lasting e-bikes are a path forward, and I think governments should incentivize manufacturers to include this tech in their products.
My 90s MTB is still my "SUV", and I'll always have a sweet spot for these older bikes, because of their repairability and long-term durability. But I can't see the majority of riders using regular bikes 20 years from now.
