no, this is my first winter using cm 507, on a hard snow its fine but in between the seasons with rain and ice its terrible, that why i purchased studded version

They look rad, I like that the studs are on the sides. The only time I worry about going down on my shermanl is turning on the slippies. Tons of wet leaves where I live right now, I take my turns way slow on them.

I used to ride a road bike all winter long, I only had issues on ice once. Locked up the rear wheel and the bike started to lean. Find the ground quickly after that.

Yeah, turning in bad conditions is very dangerous, my advice is to not lean as in summer, your wheel must be completely horizontal, you turn by managing your knee and torso in a such a way that your wheel is horizontal
