Hey, that'll get them to vote!

Yeah too bad i havent spent the last 2 months getting people to see reason and shift harris. Sigh.

Sorry it's your fault you weren't able to quell their every objection despite how unreasonable they may have been.

If a random comment on Lemmy would get a non-voter to vote or not vote then they're pretty weak willed. Not voting should be a conscious decision.

[–] jatone@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 2 weeks ago

no but these comments are microcosms of the national discussion harris' campaign just fucking ignored. she made it absolutely impossible for me to say good things about her campaign. the best thing, as demonstrated this last month, people could say about her is 'not trump.' fuck me.

Maybe we should vote to round them up

😮‍💨 alright genocide joe. Its time for you to hit the pastures.

In all honesty, what if there was a refundable tax credit for voting or something similar. Wouldn't even have to be a lot. If you voted, claim $20 or something.

We'd still have a lot of non voters but I bet some would be swayed by being rewarded for voting

And when those non-voters leave the presidential ticket blank what then? you're focusing on the wrong part; getting people to show up isnt the issue. they'll show up if your candidates are not ass and you have a good ground game.

If they leave it blank, then so be it. Maybe they'll vote quickly on something else on the ballot. Either way, they would be present and more likely to vote. I don't really care if it's dem or rep or abstain. Abstain is a valid choice, but I would prefer it to be clear that that's what they're choosing.

shrug can't help you there. I mean they literally fucking told everyone what was going to happen. And the dnc/harris decided to hold the course instead of you know, including them.

I mean we can't even seem to make election day a holiday.

eh? most states allow mail in ballots and early voting weeks in advance. IMO we already have this in most places.
