It was a bit weird, hoe quickly the US and other nations suggested this guy as a good follow up. Looks like he was set to continue the former administrations policies at the disadvantage of the people.

I said it wasn't a good sign that the army stepped in and chose the interim candidate because the army is always what ultimately controls the nation (also true for Pakistan).

Of course they also are known to take cheap bribes from the US so just put two and two together.
