Contrary to Israeli lies UNIFIL is fullfilling their mandate as best as is possible in the given limits. eing shot at by Israel certainly doesn't help.

UNIFIL conducted 18 Patrols a day looking for illegal weapons in the area in the period from February to June. They removed multiple Hezbollah weapons caches.

They also dilligently monitored fire from both sides in the area, with an overwhelming majority being Israeli attacks. This also explains why Israel is eager to remove UNIFIL monitoring capeabilities.

If the UNIFIL mandate was expanded to include proactive fighting, it would be against Israels interests as the majority of breaches of resolution 1701 are coming from the Israeli side.
