Nintendo hates its fans. They should reap the negative PR. Problem is, way too many corporate simps.
The speedrunning community must a lil shook with the emulation strikes, lately.
I'm hoping that Nintendo's consistently shitty behavior makes the general public realize that stanning for developers is better than stanning for companies
Personally I'd recommend supporting indie devs as they're closer to "locally produced" than triple-A dev entities like Ubisoft, EA, Nintendo
I have to wonder how long they can run on community goodwill. With handhelds like the Steam Deck and similar, surely it's gotta be only a matter of time until they have to change or die.
They won't die. Their largest demographic is prepubescent children. Mommy and Daddy's money isn't going anywhere
I'd argue that they're more likely to morph into a patent troll if they ever do get anywhere close to their death throes.
We might even be witnessing the Genesis of that transformation now.
They have such a deep patent portfolio that they could really fuck with the whole industry.
If the switch 2 has the same lack of success as the Wii u I could see that
Mommy and Daddy are being sued and told to eat shit because of pictures...mommy and daddy won't forget being treated like shit.
Seems it's ramped up a lot since the new CEO took over.
