Oldtimers are Defined as Vehicles 30 years or older, whereas Youngtimers are between 25 and 30 years of age!

A better engine on the first gen is the answer.
What engine did your friend use?
Unfortunately , I don’t know. It was 20+ years ago and I never got the chance ask specifics. I just remember my friend mentioning it and then hearing it drive off after a quick visit.
