I can't imagine a scenario where a person who needs to work on a computer will not benefit by typing quickly and accurately.

Just because you can’t imagine it doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. There are plenty of jobs that use computers but you don’t need to transcribe anything. In my job we use excel a ton. I only need to type a few sentences. The rest is copy paste and using formulas. I do just fine with 2 fingers.

Granted I type pretty fast even like that and don’t have to look at the keyboard much to type. Mostly just to reposition my hands from time to time. Much like you would on a phone.
