But those movies simply weren't good.
Wikipedia even states that Strange World partly bombed because of poor word-of-mouth (which I definitely believe). And Wish got video essays and articles en masse about how it didn't deliver.
People love to bitch and moan. Very few actually do anything.
wtf is "doing anything" in this context? is it becoming a massive globe spanning multi billion dollar company and making movies cuz i think most people would be down for that if they could. regardless heres something YOU could do: stop licking the boots of a corporation.
Obviously we movie goers aren't making the kinds of movies we want to see. We need to be the change and be the movie makers which we have no experience, skill or possibility of being. It's so simple that it's fucking crazy.
So you skipped the comment I replied to talking about word of mouth, essays, and other forms of spreading news. Or even yes how about getting off your ass and making one. You think every director or movie was made and spread by studios. You people have no idea how to help yourselves.
first off, what fucking comment? second u are completly delusional if u think any significant number of people can just make a movie on that scale, if at all. Just a sheer lack of knowledge about the amount of money an equipment and labor it takes to make even short films let alone an entire movie.
So what, we’re supposed to watch and support poor quality media in the hopes that eventually a piece gold shows up in the turd pile?
No, if they make good content people pay for it, if they don’t make good content then they can’t whine.
