Nadeel van Startpage is ook dat, door het gebruik van Google, als persoonlijke info die je in het zoekveld invoert (bijv. als je je eigen naam zoekt) wel naar Google gaat.

(Zelfde geldt natuurlijk voor de andere zoekmachines die gebruik maken van derde partijen, bijv. DDG stuurt het naar Microsoft's Bing.)
