If you think that what the USSR had was communism, then you are as dumb as the other guy.
What you the chosen one who defies the historians calls the USSR government?
If it's socialism OK, I can give you that.
Look up the meaning of communism and then look up how the "Communist" government of the USSR was run and compare the two. Then maybe you'll actually have a clue. Oh and, you and your tankie friends can downvote me all you like. It won't really matter.
So ok it's a matter of opinion and not based on anything concrete, have a nice day.
When Joseph Stalin killed millions of Russians I don't think it was a matter of opinion that life in the USSR was objectively terrible. And now with Vladimir Putin trying to put the USSR back together by bathing himself and the entire Eastern Bloc in blood and has literally outlawed not only lgbtq but any differing opinions to his own, I don't think it's a matter of opinion that life in Russia really fucking sucks. But hey, you do you.
A communist country doesn't mean is not free from sins, is not a utopia is a social construct that needs constant effort to be afloat. URSS and Stalin did a lot of shit, but the worst communist implementation is still equal or better than the best capitalist country.
URSS do shit and Putin do shit doesn't mean they both are the same type of government, that's doesn't make any sense.
Again what type of URSS government are? If not communism what is? You only give your opinion about how bad at times they went but what your fucking answer?
Lots to unpack here. One, communism isn't a type of government, it's an socioeconomical system. Two, the question was whether the Russian quality of life was very good after the communist revolution. I said it was not, because of the whole slaughtering of the citizens and the removal of sovereign personal rights and all. Three, Putin is nostalgic for the USSR. This is widely known. He wants to reunite the Easter bloc and reform something resembling the former USSR. He's half way there already. Just consider the fact that there's no such thing as a free election there anymore.
You need to take a good deep look inward and maybe read up on some shit. Cause you are all kinds of mixed up.
Ok, communism is a political and economic system without government, stateless. Socialism is social and economic system with government, I mixed government in between because I dumb but USSR was a socialist state.
The question was what Putin have to do with the communism of USSR, the Russia of today is not a socialist state, Putin want the totalitarianism and the land of USSR, totalitarianism has nothing to do with capitalism or socialism.
Edit:
I'm dumb but I mixed "government" after this answer, westerns call USSR a communist state but they themselves call it socialist state, so is okay to say communist state but it's not ok to say communist government in English? Even if government is generally a state? Genuine question.
Russia and the USSR never actually had a communist society and it's government was party controlled totalitarianism under a mask of communism. Which, as you just stated, is what Putin wants. Only his mask is a faux democracy under capitalism. In the USSR communism was just propaganda. A way to keep the masses from revolting against the regime. Just as the "elections" held in Russia are now.
