A place to discuss positive changes that can make work more equitable, and to vent about current practices. We are NOT against work; we just want the fruits of our labor to be recognized better.
Our Philosophies:
- All workers must be paid a living wage for their labor.
- Income inequality is the main cause of lower living standards.
- Workers must join together and fight back for what is rightfully theirs.
- We must not be divided and conquered. Workers gain the most when they focus on unifying issues.
Our Goals
- Higher wages for underpaid workers.
- Better worker representation, including but not limited to unions.
- Better and fewer working hours.
- Stimulating a massive wave of worker organizing in the United States and beyond.
- Organizing and supporting political causes and campaigns that put workers first.

When I was starting out I would copy job postings for the position I wanted and then post a fake version so I could see what sort of resumes I'd be competing against.
The take away from doing that: put effort into the design of your resume - make it a pdf and never send a word doc.
Oh, also applying for jobs is a pure numbers game. You should be applying to as many as you can and not spend too much time on any one application.
Is this a joke? You say you were doing the same thing as the HR people, i.e. posting fake applications so why is this getting voted up?
I'm just sharing relevant information. It's not just HR people posting fake jobs, it's also other job hunters checking out the competition.
Good to know I can expect maybe 1/3 of applications to be legit
You should expect 95% of your applications to never even be looked at. It's a total numbers game.
