I enjoyed the 1st season, couldn't finish the 2nd and didn't even realise there was a 3rd and 4th.

Exactly. This would have been excellent as a limited series, but I assume it was profitable so it outlived its premise.

I mean the ending of each season clearly set up the story for the next. Perhaps you could argue that it shouldn't have, but it's clear the writers had a plan.

incidentally, why are there so many fucking tv shows about podcast detectives. i swear last year i started watching 3 or 4 shows that seemed promising and as soon as they got into the podcast nonsense i had to turn it off.
